Artistic shutters

During Genova Jeans, Fabio Accorrà's "Saracinesche Artistici" art installation was installed along Via Prè and Via San Luca. The regenerated shutters hosted a photographic installation by photographer Fabio Accorrà.

His colorful images alternated with others repainted in a light denim blue using eco-friendly paints provided by Boero, recalling the indigo used to dye the fustian later known as “jeans.”

"Photography can make a valuable contribution to urban revitalization and enhancement, including through its use in this type of installation. In an era where we're all accustomed to scrolling through hundreds of images on our smartphones every day, stepping outside our screens and seeing how, in this case, places in need of regeneration, furnished with photographs, can also be a sign of photographic enhancement" (Fabio Accorrà).
