The thousand nuances and hues that distinguish Japanese landscapes told through images: until December 31st, the Consulate General of Japan in Milan (at Via Privata Cesare Mangili 2) hosts the exhibition “The Colors of Japan” by Genoese photographer Fabio Accorrà.
The photographs on display are taken from Accorrà's book of the same name, published by Erga: the author depicts the country through twelve locations and twelve stories. "Each chapter features a bilingual description that accompanies this collection of colors and images, all centered on the beauty of Japan," explains the photographer. "The reader is drawn in, engaged, and must be ready to embark on the journey: the white of Mount Fuji, the yellow of Nikko's foliage, the blue of Lake Hakone are pure adrenaline rushes."
The exhibition, organized by the Japanese Association of Northern Italy and the Consulate General of Japan, can be visited during the Consulate's opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:15 am to 12:15 pm and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
